1974 Carrera 2.7 with Grand-Prix White Repaint

Update on 2/27/2012: Carrera has been sold.

Posted 2/7/2012: Jurgen Rott of 2shores has just listed a 1974 Carrera MFI 2.7 (chassis #911 460 0808) that was recently repainted in original Grand Prix White.   Jurgen is very familiar with this car having sold it in 2010, along with numerous other Euro Carreras over the years.  The wheels appear to have been refinished since it was last sold in 2010.  The odometer now reads 92,504km, having travelled less than a thousand km since mid-2010 when it read 91,700km.  There was a small crack in the dash in 2010.

Description from the seller:

One of only 1023 produced Carreras for the European market. These cars are not to be confused with the US spec Carreras of 74 & 75, as they carry the iconic RS motor (type 911-83) of the 73 Carrera RS from the factory.

These cars are very rare and come to market rarely, especially in the US. Weighing in at 1075kg (2365lbs) the performance envelope is just like that of an RS Touring model.
This particular car was sold new to Italy and is fully numbers matching. It comes with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity issued in Italy. It was sold from Italy to Great Britain in 2007 and eventually found its way to a collector here in the Midwest.

The car was recently taken to bare metal and re-sprayed to its authentic grand prix white. The wheels, undercarriage, brakes and engine are fully sorted and detailed and in wonderful shape. While not freshly rebuilt, the engine is in tip top condition with excellent leak down and compression numbers and no oil leaks.

The interior is still all original and shows very nice.

These cars are very strong performers and will outrun any S model and holding their ground with the iconic Carrera RS.

Offered for $125,000 USD by 2shores.
