Updated 10/17/2013: A reader pointed out this was for sale earlier this year with a 3.0-liter engine so the newly installed 911/83 engine is a correct type but unlikely to be the numbers matching example. Other changes include swapping Fuchs wheels, correct thick Carrera steering wheel.
Posted 10/17/2013: This black 1974 Carrera 2.7 MFI appears to be quite original with a well preserved interior, correct looking engine bay, original owner's manual, original toolkit with most of the correct bits other than a few wrenches. Radio is either a period replacement or the dealer/owner installed a non-Blaupunkt model when new. Chrome mirror with black trim indicates this is an earlier to mid-year 1974 before they started painting the mirrors black. Correct 6J and 7J Fuchs sizes but they appear to have been overly polished on the rear. Missing some decals in the engine compartment for the fan strap, coil, etc.
No info on whether the engine is original numbers matching or not. If you are looking for a largely original '74 Carrera this looks like one worth inspecting further, particularly given most of the recent Carreras on offer have been modified a bit.
