While it is hard to track private sales, this follows the last auction result of $236,500 USD for a 1974 Carrera 2.7 MFI at Gooding's Amelia Island sale earlier this year. It will be interesting to see the if subsequent results, such as RM's London sale of a 1974 Carrera 2.7 MFI next month, will validate this trend.

Last week a 1976 Carrera 2.7 MFI attained a record price at Coy's Nürburgring auction. The Carrera MFI was modified with bodywork and wider Fuchs to resemble a 2.8 RSR, but appeared to be very well done. The hammer price was 225,000 EUR plus bidder's commission for a total of 254,750 EUR (approx. $341,000 USD).
